EXPANDING CLIENT BASE

2008 has been a very busy year. As well as providing work for some of my long established customers I was commissioned to produce artwork for Castle Melamine, and their client, Marie Curie. This artwork was for coasters and trays. Marie Curie also intimated they would like to use some of my images on various other products they are considering. My designs were also licensed for fabric; this was being produced by two American manufacturers, Images Textiles and Robert Kaufman. I found this very exciting because I spent 5 years studying for my Honours and Masters Degrees in textile design and I have always longed to see my work printed on lengths of material.

EXHIBITIONS

I have now developed a pattern of attending three major shows each year. In February I attend the Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham, in May I fly over to New York to exhibit at Surtex and in October I have a stand at the Brand Licensing exhibition in London. Representatives that visit these three shows come from a wide spectrum of firms in the publishing and manufacturing industries. My work receives worldwide exposure and I meet valuable contacts from all over the world.

LICENSING AGREEMENTS

I have formed strong working relationships with a number of world class publishers and manufacturers. I really appreciated working with companies who involve themselves in the design process. Interacting with art directors and designers involved in product development is both exciting and rewarding.
