Thank you for visiting my website. I am continually adding artwork to my Portfolio section, so please feel free to call back at regular intervals to see what’s new.
I license my designs to publishers and manufacturers throughout the world. I have sound practical knowledge of what clients require from a freelance designer and I hit my deadlines when working to a brief. If you are interested in a particular piece of work, or if you would like me to produce some artwork specifically for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch. |
I am a Scottish freelance designer who originates from Edinburgh. I moved to Dundee in 1997 to attend Art College and I was awarded an Honours degree in Textile Design from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in 2001. Following this I moved to Galashiels in the Scottish Borders, where I studied at Heriot-Watt University (formerly known as The Scottish College of Textiles). I was awarded a Master of Design Degree from Heriot-Watt in 2002. I returned to Edinburgh after completing my Masters and I am now firmly based in the Scottish capital. My city centre design studio sits in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle. |

My first love has always been flora and fauna and I am best known in art circles for my floral work (although I have licensed designs based on other subject matter, such as cityscapes, people, animals, etc.). In my early years I used a very bright palette and my work was instantly recognisable. I was fortunate enough to meet with early success and within twelve months of going freelance my artwork could be seen in the global retailer IKEA (on art prints) and in the UK’s largest specialist card retailer, Clinton Cards (on greeting cards, wraps and gift bags). |
Over the years my style has evolved, I still favour the use of a bold palette; however, I have discovered I also enjoy producing artwork containing more subtle colours. This has broadened my appeal, which in turn has led to my designs being licensed for numerous products. My artwork can now be seen on art prints, cards, wrap, bags, clothing, textiles, stationery, craft paper, cross stitch and tableware. |
